The Client
BRAND — Grassroots Athletics
WHAT THEY DO — Custom kits, jerseys, soccer balls, and equipment for players and clubs
WHO THEY SERVE — Youth clubs, teams, and families
OUR SCOPE — Website design and development
What They Needed
Grassroots Athletics sells to two very different audiences: parents ordering a jersey, and club leaders building a partnership. Their website needed to serve both clearly, explain unfamiliar processes like drop windows and custom kits, and make a young brand look established.
01 — Make ordering simple: Explain the drop-window model so buyers know exactly what to expect and when.
02 — Win over clubs: Present the Club Partner program in a way that gets club leaders to reach out.
03 — Build trust: Give a growing brand the credibility of an established one.
Built for Players, Parents, and Clubs
01 — The storefront: A clean, mobile-first shop for jerseys, balls, and equipment.
02 — Club collections: Dedicated collections for partner clubs, each with its own branded space in the store.
03 — Custom kit journey: A clear path from a club’s colors and ideas to an approved design, sizing, production, and delivery.
04 — Helpful buyer content: Clear answers on ball sizing, training vs. match balls, jersey care, and international shipping.
A Fundraising Model, Made Easy to Grasp
01 — Join: A club becomes a partner with no upfront cost and no inventory risk.
02 — Sell: The club gets its own jersey collection in the store.
03 — Earn: The club earns a set dollar amount from every item sold.
The Thinking Behind the Design
Two audiences, two clear paths. Parents and club leaders each get a route built for them, so nobody has to hunt.
Explain the process visually. Drop windows and custom kits are new to most buyers, so we used simple step-by-step layouts instead of dense paragraphs.
Let the product lead. Big, clean imagery of kits and gear puts the merchandise front and center.
